As a non-profit, public charity with IRS 501 (c) 3 status and registered with the MS Secretary of State Division of Charities, Angel Ranch desires to make its tax returns easily available for public review. Mission Statement:
Angel Ranch, Inc. maintains a licensed, residential facility in Lafayette County which shelters a maximum of 8 children who require care while in the protective custody of the MS Department of Human Services with their physical and emotional safety being our foremost concern. They are cared for by a supportive and nurturing staff with involved community volunteers and service learners who provide love, guidance, proper food, clothing, medical treatment, mentoring, tutoring, and counseling while the MS Department of Human Services investigates their home situation and/or seeks their foster family placement. School-aged children are enrolled in our local schools and have the opportunity to attend local churches and participate in community activities.
Summary of service accomplishments:
Angel Ranch opened to the abused children of Mississippi on November 1, 2006 and has served 84 children from 26 Mississippi counties. We feel that our greatest accomplishment has been caring for 12 sibling groups so they were not separated and 8 children who have stayed for multiple visits. Angel Ranch will succeed with the support the communities which it serves. Please continue to support Angel Ranch with your donations and annual pledges so that we might maintain our program of services.
Our volunteer Board of Directors is dedicated to maintaining our shelter. They generously give of their resources over and above the call of duty as a policy making board who advocate for the needs of Angel Ranch. In addition they occasionally pass out literature, speak to their churches and conduct fundraisers.
