JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Substitute DIRECT CARE WORKERS (DCW) are occasionally needed who will care for the 24/7 needs of children at Angel Ranch when our DCWs need relief. DCWs and substitutes must be at least 21 years old and have at least a high school diploma or GED. They must pass a criminal and background check, be fingerprinted, complete their personnel file, have an E-Mail account, be certified in CPR and First Aid, provide a recent physician’s statement that they are in good health, and pass a drug test at their own expense.
Applications are available at the WIN Job Center only when a position is open.
Essential functions of a DCW include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepare meals, supervise children, participate in daily cleaning routine of facility.
Model and expect socially appropriate behavior.
Direct dressing, choosing of clothing, caring for clothing, children doing chores, bathing young children and
overseeing personal hygiene of adolescents daily, assisting with homework, monitoring television programs.
Document interaction with individual children on a daily basis.
Participate in training in identified areas of need.
Perform job requirements in a timely manner as established with supervisor.
Communicate effectively through speaking, listening and writing.
Active telephone and email required.
