Mandalyn was born premature with multiple medical problems and abandoned at the hospital struggling for her life. When 2 weeks old, she was placed in a temporary, emergency shelter waiting for licensed foster home placement. When she was 8 weeks old, she was placed in foster care where she continued to thrive in a loving and soothing environment. Presently, she is an active 6-year-old bundle of energy and source of pride and joy to her parents as she amazes her family and doctors with the progress she has made.
